MMM just had this tonight. This time I added a little lemon juice to the rhubarb, and some rolled oats into the crumble. Very good indeed.

Just a thought: there are already two monthly craft and produce markets, there is one every month in West Gerinish (mostly crafts) and another on the first Saturday of every month, this month (July) it is at Nunton Steadings again.

Reduced serotonin levels from stress, lack of sleep & exercise, poor nutrition, and lack of sunlight are connected with ADD, irritability, depression, aggression, anxiety, lack of concentration, chronic pain, restlessness or fatigue, nausea, obsessive-compulsive disorder, weight gain or loss, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, heat intolerance and other syndromes. Fluctuating serotonin levels are connected with bipolar disorder (manic depression) and hypomania. Sounds just like the average adolescent!
The good news is that serotonin production is increased by exercise and exposure to sunlight (also good for Vitamin D production but don't forget the sunscreen). So if you can't get them to eat healthily try the exercise route.
You could also try it yourself to help you cope with the teenage years.

I thought this report was excellent - now that I am more aware of the global situation I can make informed decisions about my wholefood orders in the future.

I have had a look and there are several sources in the HiHo catalogue. I suspect that you would need to pre-cook the dried ones, if you couldn't get the tinned ones.

Well I finally got round to trying this last night and as Dawn said, it's absolutely delicious. Had to do without chestnuts but will check whether HiHo stock these before I make this next time.

You may have tried this but if you haven't it's a delicious addition to venison casserole that I make in the slow cooker: a big dessertspoonful of redcurrant jelly in the marinade.
